Haith’s market leading range of box fillers has been enhanced by the introduction of the QuantaFill.

An innovative infeed conveyor gently layers the crop into the buffer bunker which is then lowered into the box. Active discharge doors then open to transfer the crop into the box simultaneously raising as it fills.

This ensures that the weight of the box is never lifted, and the machine is not put under pressure, which eliminates fatigue or prevents damage to both the machine and the box.

The absence of hydraulics also removes the chance of oil contamination and high-efficiency motors offers exceptional power consumption.

The additional box handling functionality allows the operator to place stacks of empty boxes into the machine which are then automatically de-stacked and transported to the filling module. After being filled, the boxes are then re-stacked for the operator to remove from the line.

Our story began when Geoff Haith, at just 18 years old, started carrying out repairs for local farmers. Through this work, he recognised a need for more efficient, mechanised solutions for washing and grading root vegetables. Combining his engineering expertise with a strong farming background, Geoff went on to design and manufacture innovative machinery for handling carrots, potatoes, and beetroot.

Until recently, the business was led by Geoff’s five sons and daughter, supported by a talented and forward-thinking management team dedicated to ensuring the company’s continued success. Today, Haith employs over 120 people at our UK factory and works with a network of agents worldwide, promoting the Haith brand globally and delivering high-quality installations and satisfied customers across the world.

Over the years, Haith has continued to grow in both size and capability, relocating three times to accommodate expanding operations. This growth has culminated in our current ultra-modern, wholly owned facility in South Yorkshire, featuring approximately 6,000 m² of production space on a six-acre site. The factory is equipped with the latest CNC laser, waterjet, and bending technology, enabling us to maintain the highest standards of precision and quality.

Haith has received numerous awards for machine design and innovation. We are especially proud to have been honoured twice with the UK’s highest business accolade, The Queen’s Award for Enterprise, both in the Innovation category. As the only company in our field to hold this prestigious award, our commitment to continuous innovation and development—helping to keep the UK vegetable industry at the forefront of technology—has been clearly recognised.
